    Washington Trails

Two weeks ago a few high school buddies picked a spot on teh map and flew up to Seattle, WA to spend the weekend. We rented an overpriced H3 and headed out to do some camping, hiking, rafting etc. Here are some pic of us beating on the tiny H3.

Looks like an H3 commercial! I bet that was a nice change from how hot it has been lately.

The story about the gun goes like this. So it was nearing dusk and we are cruising along a dirt road in the H3. We get a little higher up in the altitude and we come across a couple snow covered areas. Well we ened up not being able to cross this one. We got it stuck, high-centered on the axle and tranny x-member. We tried a come-along and alot of digging but to no avail. So we start the long hike back to semi-civilization with a Maglite and a couple bottles of water. It got dark fast and we were in teh middle of no where. Come to find out later that it was about 3 miles back down the dirt road, then another 4 miles online the NF paved road until we saw a light. There were absolutly no cars on teh road and trees straight up on both sides.

Anyways, we come up on some hippies in an 4x4 Expedition, and Superduty with a camper. They gave us some line about having broke the front d-shaft on the Expedtion and sent us on to find help elsewhere. We walk about another .5 mile and see a dim light about 1/4 mile off the road. We were exhausted at this point so we started through the trees to find help. We come up on an old man sitting by a fire holding an umbrella(it was raining this whole time) holding a bottle of whiskey and his mid-30s son(think Star Trek fan/childporn king) They are hesitant to help, but eventually realize we are just some dumbasses that got there rental stuck. THey had a late 80s F250 with a camper and a stock late 80s YJ.

After some conversation, pedaphile guy(as seen in the above picture behind my buddy holding the gun) ask who has the keys to the Hummer. Unfortunately I did. He says that he will take me up to get the H3 out in the YJ but my other 2 buddies had to stay with drunk old man. He also explained how he was going to take his "little friend" with him and that his "little friend" liked to "bark". This "friend" was a S&W 500. It was a weird trip back up the mountain.

He pulled it out after a couple tugs, and I got the H3 back to my buddies and we go tthe hell out of there.

Anyhow, it was agreat trip. It rained alot(it's Washington). But it really is beautiful up there.

The H3 is a pile of **** though

Thanks for leaving out the part about the pedophile stoping on the way back to the H3 and making you squeal like a pig.

I like how your buddy is carefully not getting fingerprints on the gun, smart kid!
