This isn't everyone's cup of tea so i'm not expecting much. In a few weeks or so I am planning on driving to the mountains in Monterrey. The plan is still in the works but i will most likely use this hotel (http://coladecaballo.com/) as a staging area with a goal of reaching this waterfall (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=onjM1Qldph4). From there we can loop back through other villages and return to the homeland.
I have already mocked up a route, i'm expecting about a 10 hour drive to the hotel and 2 (no pavement) from there to the waterfall. I have done quite a bit of research and this place seems nothing short of breathtaking not to mention the cultural exposure over there. This will be about a 3-4 day trip with wheeling and obviously crossing an international border (passport required). I am most likely planning on taking a Fri and Mon off from work.
Is anyone wanting to join in your own vehicle? (reliable, highway friendly, mexico friendly)
If you want to see more of the area this is the closest town to the waterfall

Cheers.
