I read through the tow rig tire thread on Pirate. Weird how there are so many dislikes on the BFGs as I have ZERO complaints on my past 1/2tons. 50k out of the ATs and MTs

Looked like if I stick with my Michelins, I could get stupid mileage

Lots of love for the Toyo ATs.

I like my BFG's I seem to get good life out of them if I run them at a lower pressure on an everyday bases. I didn't like the Michelin's at all, they were too hard and gave me poor traction on paved road at recommended pressure. I only got about 28k out of the set of Michelin M/S 2's

I am on my third set of michelins on diesel 4x4 trucks, I get around70k out of them, they suck in mud, but I love the life and I think they ride good. I have also had nitto terra grapplers and transformers they both sucked

I have been running 35" BFG A/T's on my dodge for 5 years now and won't change. I've put thousands of miles on them between towing the jeep and chevelle on wheeling/racing trips, even pulled our gooseneck horsetrailer on numerous occasions. It had nitto a/t's when I bought it in 2006 and they sucked.

My dad had 35" Cepek FC II's on his duramax, after 2 sets I talked him into going with the 35" BFG A/T's. Made hime a believer in the BFG's.

    285/75/18 Toyo AT2 (34.8x11.3)

    OR

    295/70/18 Nitto Terra (34.4x11.8)

Size diff. is not important. Stock size is 33.2x11.

    $315 vs $262

Never been a big fan of anything Nitto, but have not heard the bad things about them that I use to. If price was closer, I wouldn't hesitate on going with the Toyos, but $53 more a tire is alot

BFG doesn't make anything in the right size.
