anyone with a 300 lying around(collins bro's boys), can you get a quick measurements for me? i need the distance from the mating flange to the end of the input shaft. in other words, how far does the input shaft protrude into the adapter on the transmission. thanks.

    thread hijack in process

This is a kinda odd question, but related to a D300. Where the yokes bolt up to the output shafts of the D300, what is OD and spline count of the output? I've seen someone mention that its the same size as one on a D44 (meaning you could take a yoke on a D44 and use it on the D300 or vice versa). Is this true?

interesting. So this new info brings a new question. Were there any D44's that used a flange instead of a yoke? Perhaps and isuzu or something like that?

no, not a driveflange, but a flange to attach the driveshaft to, similar to what toyotas use. Something like this http://www.highangledriveline.com/toy_flange.html

Here is my basic idea. I want to use a D300 in my new rig for the front dig capability. Of course I will need new driveshafts. I like toyota driveshafts, because they rarely break at the ujoint, and you can modify them rather easily (heavy wall tubing, square tubing, etc.). I also have a couple of extras laying around I can use. The only thing is I need flanges at the T-case and axle to mount them to. As you can see, HA sells them for many applications, but I was hoping to find a cheaper source for them

I'll look through my junk tonight to verify, but I believe my rodeo d44 came with a pinion flange.

I hope it does. I figured the isuzu version of a D44 was my best hope for finding these things cheaply
