    electric fan

So I'm tired of my engine getting hot. I replaced the water pump, thermostat and fan clutch before the trip and it still got hot. So thanks to Austin's suggestion, I'm looking into getting an electric fan. Should I get a dual fan setup or a single? Where could I find one for not so much?

I can't believe I am going to say this on our board, but try searching...I'm not trying to be a dick, but we covered this in pretty deep detail about a month or so ago.

fan clutches are the devil....they create more drag on the engine and are therefore counterproductive.

I say shell out and get something that's not annoyingly loud. josh had to turn his off this weekend so he could hear me when I was spotting him.

It turns out my engine temps are low and i have a fan clutch. If you have the proper fan shroud (sp) your fan should work fine.

dan, if you're going to take the fan clutch off you'll definately need two. if you just want to add one fan that should be adequate to keep it cool.

I emailed summit racing and they suggested dual 15" fans. they were only $379.
with the fans from autozone, how much did they cost? did they come with the wiring or did you have to buy that separately?

with those intrepid fans, what year model has those?
