SWFDA Summer Quarterly
SWFDA, of which you all are members, is holding their Summer Quarterly in Colorado this year. Here is their latest update. See the link at the bottom for more information...
To all SWFWDA Members,
The Summer Quarterly planning committee realizes that the uncertainties of forest closures may have kept many of you from pre-registering for this event. Because of that, the cost of the registration will be $35.00 regardless of post-marked date. This fee applies to on-site registrations as well. (Those that have paid $40.00 will be refunded the difference.)
The registration fee is to pay for use of the grounds, sanitation facilities, and insurance. On-site registrants will not be able to enjoy the Saturday eve BBQ as arrangements for the food must be made in advance. Please contact glenn@nm4w.org promptly if you are mailing in a late registration and wish to be included in the BBQ.
I have just gotten back from a pre-run to the Salida area. The area is open, as have many forests in the Southwest & Rocky Mountain region been re-opened due to the arrival of the annual rainier season.
The trails are great... and many "Jeepers" have come out of hibernation. For those of you that have been "sitting-on-the fence" concerning attending, I would urge that you join us for trail runs in the canyons and mountains in the Salida, Colorado area. Challenging, scenic... easy to hard. Please pass the word to your club members.
Thanks!
