And to re-iterate the problem was solved last night, and I have the larger than normal 12 inch rotors (1/4 inch bigger ;))
I just pulled an explorer rotor off the shelf and gave measurements then said the rotor wasn't an issue because a 1/2 ton Dodge rotors he already has fit fine with no machine work. why keep trying to make it harder than it needs to be?
Are you talking about at clearance at the register or clearance at the OD of the axle flange?
And these are stock axle shafts? I've got two sets of shafts from different years and they both fit.
Sorry for continuing the derailment, just curious as I've seen a bunch of threads about the 8.8 disk conversion and hadn't seen anyone have this problem.
wait...were you looking at an explorer front rotor or a rear rotor?
