i've got one on my truck and dont remember that i noticed much of a change in mileage or power....but it only cost like $15 in aluminum and i made it myself so i wasnt out much by doing it.
don't waste your money, unless "da whistle" is important to you
(I have an airaid on a '97 350 vortec and gave no increase in power or gas mileage...only makes a kind of cool turbo whistle sound when you get on it)
mine makes that whistle noise without the spacer
well isn't that special? :p
So does mine dodge
turbo whistle simulated by exhaust air spinning a turbine connected to another turbine that compresses intake air? How clever...sounds like a lot of trouble just for a whistle, thoughQuote:

Are there any other cheap engine mods I can do, cause my gas mileage sucks. I have a K&N filter that helped some, but I still get 11 mpg around town in a mostly stock truck
search "gas mileage"....there was an extensive thread on it.
my sub makes a whissle sound... it is due to interference but it is cool when you floor it... its like woooo
you gotta be wearin a mumu and sponge curlers to imitate the sound of a tornado.Quote:

look in another thread+ i added a tbs and airaid to 97 chevy after going from 32-33 and it helped alot.-acceleration-didnt help gas that much. try exhaust also. putting a tbs on 89 surburban tonight so well see what it does.
the airaid helped your throttle response, but probably didn't help your fuel economy. I'd be surprised if the spacer did anything by itself...
...except go "woooo"
:D
